What are your current responsibilities?
As a Neurology Key Account Manger, I am responsible for the promotion of our relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis product to Neurology offices. I manage approximately 40 accounts and work closely with both clinical and office support staff.  In addition to educating my accounts on the benefits of our product and our stellar patient services, I work as a liaison between my customers and MS LifeLines to support the new patient start process and reimbursement follow up.  I also facilitate MS patient education throughout the community through our field nurse CHAT programs and health care provider speaker programs.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy many things about my position as a Key Account Manager at EMD Serono.  I feel proud to work for such an ethical, patient-centric organization that has impeccable values and respect for its employees and customers.  I enjoy the ability to engage in high science discussions at my MS centers and learn from key opinion leaders.  I also like being able to work closely with patients through CHAT sessions and patient programming.  I admire our senior leadership and have an amazing team and Area business director whom I have the pleasure of working with and learning from every day!

With which of the company’s values can you identify most and why?
Respect. Respect is a core value that I identify with and feel is essential for both personal and work place happiness and success. Self respect drives our disposition and attitude.  Respect requires honest communication, which is essential for successful personal and work relationships.  Respect places value on the ability to be open, to hear others and learn from their ideas. I feel that EMD Serono has great respect for its employees, customers and patients, which is extremely motivating and rewarding.

There are two different, unaffiliated companies that use the name MERCK. Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which operates this website, uses the firm name “Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany,” in the United States and Canada, and also uses “EMD Serono” in biopharma, “MilliporeSigma” in life science and “EMD Performance Materials” in materials business. The other company, Merck & Co., Inc. holds the rights in the trademark MERCK in the United States and Canada. Merck & Co. is not affiliated with or related to Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which owns the MERCK trademark in all other countries of the world.   To reflect such fact and to avoid any confusion, certain logos, terms and business descriptions of the publications on this website have been substituted or modified, such as by referring to “Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany” instead of “Merck” standing alone.  Publications on this webpage, therefore, slightly deviate from the otherwise identical versions accessible outside the United States and Canada.
